Many people who get started in wine journey want to know how to start a collection. Everyone has slightly different tastes for the beginner this will be a great place to start. Even if you get a wine snob at the house you will have something to impress them.

Since it is hot around America, this first selection will be good sipping wines. They do not need food but if you eat snacks, these should pair well with most light snacks. I recommend buying two bottles of each.
